One of the best things about modern sedans is their capability to include all-wheel drive. While many on the market today still rely on the old standard front wheel drive, Subaru is known for producing a set of sedans which include this great feature, and that's something that Freehold, Marlboro, Manalapan, and Englishtown drivers love.
It's more than that, though. Subaru is known for providing outstanding sets of options for customization throughout their various trim levels, and the new Subaru Legacy continues this trend. Read a breakdown of the features in the 2017 Subaru Legacy trim levels, and learn where you can go to customize your new sedan today.
2017 Subaru Legacy Trim Levels
The 2017 Subaru Legacy is a midsize sedan that seats five, and comes in five body styles or trim levels: the 2.5i base, Premium, Sport and Limited, and the 3.6R Limited. The 2.5i trim levels are driven by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the 3.6R Limited is powered with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine.
2.5i Base Trim
The base 2.5i level of Subaru Legacy comes with the standard all-wheel drive that drivers appreciate as well as automatic headlights, a rearview camera, air conditioning, tilt/telescope steering wheel, split-fold back seats, Bluetooth connectivity for audio and phone, Subaru Starlink infotainment system with 6.2-inch touchscreen, smartphone app integration, and a sound system that features a USB port, four speakers, an auxiliary/iPod audio jack, a CD player, HD radio, and a satellite tuner.
Premium Level Trim
At the premium level, you get 17-inch alloy wheels, plus heated seats, mirrors, and de-icing windshield wipers. It also features an automatic dual-zone climate control, upgraded 7-inch touchscreen, extra smartphone apps, emergency telematics and assistance, an extra USB port, and an updated sound system with two additional speakers. You can optionally add a sunroof.
Sport Trim
For the most part, the sport trim adds aesthetic touches to the above features. Practical enhancements include larger wheels, a sunroof, fog lights, keyless entry and ignition, and an auto-dim rearview mirror.
Limited Trim Levels
At the 2.5i levels, you get unique wheels and the same styling as the Premium level, which gives you enhanced suspension, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, power driver seat with eight-way adjustments and two-way lumbar, power passenger with four-way adjust and two-way lumbar, heated seats in the rear, full leather upholstery, and a premium sound system by Harman Kardon sound with 12 speakers.
The 3.6R version of the limited is the same, but for its six-cylinder engine, shift paddles on the steering wheel, and included xenon headlights.
EyeSight Driver Assist
Every trim level above the 2.5i base can have the EyeSight Driver Assist package added for an impressive suite of safety features. This package allows all of the standard safety features in high-end sedans to work together to allow the car to function as an extra set of eyes, an extra foot on the brakes, and an extra brain to help stop you from accidents. It's responsible for giving Subaru a Top Safety + pick and Superior technology ranking in crash tests.
