Subaru WRX Trim Levels

The sports Sedan has five trim levels: the standard WRX, WRX Premium, WRX Limited, WRX STI, and WRX STI Limited. Each trim level differs in appearance and available upgrades. Certain features come standard, and others are available upon request.

Entertainment Technology

Subaru STARLINK is the star of the Subaru's interior. The infotainment interface was created to provide entertainment and driver support to passengers in the vehicle. The color touchscreen monitor is the centerpiece of the interface. Passengers can sync smartphones with the interface to essentially turn the monitor into a replica of their home screen. All the apps are downloaded to the screen and users can text, listen to music, and make hands-free phone calls. Subaru has also created a voice command system to allow drivers to make phone calls while keeping both hands on the steering wheel.

The STARLINK system also provides safety and driver assistance to owners. Drivers can access a monthly vehicle health report through the interface. They're also able to receive maintenance and automatic collision alerts. These are just a few of the features offered by the STARLINK interface. Users can access the interface directly from their phone by downloading the MySubaru or Subaru STARLINK apps.

Unique and Stylish Exterior

The exterior of the WRX is truly the aesthetic of a sports sedan. Every trim has its own unique look that still embodies the athletic profile of the brand. Buyers get seven body color options, including Crystal Black Silica and Pure Red.

All trims are built with a rigid underbody that provides extra durability and stability control. The suspension is reinforced, which produces noise-reduction capabilities. Most trims are equipped with LED headlights, fog lights, under spoilers, rear bumper diffuser, and power heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Direct Injection Subaru BOXER Engine

The best part about a sports sedan is the engine, and the Subaru WRX doesn't disappoint. All models come equipped with a direct injection Subaru BOXER engine. The BOXER engine is made from specialty technology created and used solely by Subaru manufacturers. The engine is built horizontally with pistons moving side to side. The structure of the engine produces less noise turbulence, which increases performance and fuel economy. The 2.0L engine produces 268 horsepower with 258 lb-ft of torque.

Six-Speed to Eight-Speed Transmission

The transmission is also built with unique technology. It's essentially a combination of an automatic and manual transmission. Drivers are given a six- to eight-speed advanced automatic transmission that has the optional manual gearshift for higher speeds. The Sport Lineartronic also has paddle shifters for extra driver control.
