Now that summer has arrived, people in the Freehold, Englishtown and Marlboro area don’t need many excuses to head down to the shore. One of the main reasons to visit the shore is the Surf and Turf Seafood Festival at Monmouth Park. This event will make you feel right at home with some great seafood and entertainment that’s perfect for the whole family. Surf & Turf Event Details
This two-day festival will occur on July 16th and July 17th from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Monmouth Park Race Track. General admission is $5 per person. Entrance for children under 12 is free. Parking for this event in the general parking area will be $5 a vehicle. Because this event is at the Monmouth Park Race Track, horse races will occur. The first race will kick off at 12:50 p.m.
Great Seafood
Seafood lovers will be in oceanic heaven with the Surf and Turf Seafood Festival. It will feature the freshest food, complete with lobster rolls, clam chowder and shrimp, among many other varieties of fish and crustaceans. Ice cold beer and chilled wine will be supplied as the perfect complement to your seafood feast. Land lovers will appreciate the many non-seafood dishes that are available.
This event will feature a variety of local vendors so you can enjoy the fresh tastes of the Jersey Shore on top of a bountiful seafood feast. This event will be sponsored by Wild Bill’s Soda. Family Fun
This festival will feature many events that are perfect for the whole family. Live music will be featured throughout the event for your entertainment, as well as several horse races where you can wager on your favorite horse. In between races, you’re free to walk the track and explore Monmouth Park.
On Sunday, get excited for Family Fun Day. This child friendly event will feature a variety of activities that the little ones can enjoy. They can get their face painted by local artists and partake in free pony rides throughout the park. They can even blow off some steam while jumping around in the bouncy house.
Because this is the first Surf and Turf festival, all are encouraged to come and have a great time while enjoying some live entertainment, great seafood and horse races.
