It's divided into a Senior Squad responsible for general operations and answering 911 calls, a Cadet Corps, auxiliary members, and other volunteer staff committed to the health and safety of Freehold's residents. This is a great experience for students interested in pursuing a career in medicine or anyone who wants to assist during a medical emergency.

Freehold Area Open Door Inc.

The Freehold Area Open Door Inc. is a non-profit agency that sponsors food pantry, emergency funding/advocacy, after-school, and scholarship programs. It accepts food and monetary donations while offering numerous volunteer opportunities.

Its food pantry program distributes a three-day supply of emergency food to qualified individuals on a monthly basis, which comes out to 98 tons of food distributed annually. Since opening its doors in 1970, Freehold Area Open Door has been integral to helping the less fortunate in the community.

So far, Freehold Open Door Inc. has 150 volunteers who make food pickups, stock shelves, pack bags, record client visit dates, mentor children, advocate for clients, and provide emergency funding.

Some choose to show their support through food or monetary donations. Some of the food items suggested include soups, pastas, cereals, powdered milk, and bread.
