The countdown to the 2015 Fast Tracks & Food Trucks at Six Flags Great Adventure is on. Now in its second year, this event combines the love of food along with celebrating the love of fast-moving roller coasters. Taking place on April 25 and 26, this year's event features gourmet food from food truck favorites and a beer and wine garden that features six of New Jersey's finest wineries all gathering at this amusement park.

Hitting the Fast Tracks

Once you have your fill, it's time to hit the park and walk it off as you check out the 10 roller coasters that will be rolling that weekend:

  •  If you love the classic wooden-type roller coasters, then check out El Toro, which has the steepest drop of any wooden roller coaster in the world.
  • Check out Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom where you will experience a 415-foot drop at speeds of 90 miles per hour.
  • Fly like Superman or the Green Lantern while you soar at top speeds through the twists, turns, and loops of these impressive duo's pair of coasters.
  • Take the kids on the Runaway Mine Train, The Dark Knight, or Skull Mountain to ease them into the thrill of roller coasters.
  • Race from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds to the top of Kingda Ka's 456-foot-high track.
  • Satisfy your inner thrill seeker with Bizzaro's outrageous loops, drops, rolls, and corkscrew turns.
  • Ride Nitro's ultra-slim and fast tracks through loops and twists bringing you to a 21-story drop.

The fun begins at noon on both days and lasts until 7 pm, which makes it a great time to visit for either lunch or dinner - or why not take a break from the rides and come out for both meals? Admission to the food truck area is free with your theme park admission or if you're a Six Flags Season Pass Holder. You must purchase an additional ticket to enter the beer and wine garden area and will be available online for $12.99 and $15.99 at the door. An additional parking fee will apply if you don't have a parking pass for Six Flags.
