The All-New 2020 Subaru Outback Is Bigger, More Powerful & Ready For New Adventures

It is easy to see that the 2020 Outback is sporting a new bold and ruggedly refined look with standard LED headlights with High Beam Assist. While it may be hard to tell from just looking at the 2020 Outback, it is slightly larger than the previous model and is also built on the new Subaru Global Platform. The Subaru Global Platform utilizes more high-strength for a 70% stiffer structure that enhances performance as well as safety by absorbing over 40% more crash energy. Inside the 2020 Outback drivers will have 109 cubic feet of luxurious seating for five with more maximum cargo space for bigger adventures; 75.7 cubic feet.

The 2020 Subaru Outback is also more powerful and more fuel efficient with two new BOXER engines to choose from. The new standard BOXER engines is an updated 2.5L four-cylinder that now generates 182 horsepower and gets up to 33 highway mpg. for over 600-miles of adventure on one tank. The second is a turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder BOXER that produces 260 horsepower and is capable of towing up to 3,500 lbs. All Outback models are paired with a Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission and, of course, come standard with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode with Hill Descent Control. So no matter where the road may go, the Outback is ready to tackle any kind of terrain in any kind of weather.

Not only is the 2020 Subaru Outback larger, more powerful and fuel efficient, but it also offers more advanced technology. Like 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity and a stunning new 11.6-inch touchscreen STARLINK multimedia system. The new 11.6-inch screen is the most advanced infotainment screen ever in a Subaru and is your central command center for multimedia, vehicle settings, climate, and much more. One new app that is available with the latest version of STARLINK in-vehicle technology is the Chimani app. Chimani brings Freehold drivers even closer to nature with comprehensive guides and maps, park history, and highlights from local travel experts of over 400 National Parks.

The 2020 Outback also arrives with the latest version of Subaru's highly awarded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology; which now includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering. Another new EyeSight feature is EyeSight Assist Monitor with head-up display. The 2020 Outback also offers Subaru DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System to identify signs of driver fatigue or distraction and provides audio and visual warnings.
